I love how light the Ezra, Salt, Dartmoor coasters are, but I kind of miss the engagement feel of a screw type coaster.

No one sells the Ezra coaster anymore right?

That is very unlikely, but what is probably happening is that the helical adjuster is taking a little time to get pushed back together after you re-open the gap. It needs the clutch element banging into it to shove it back along the axle out of the way, and this sometimes takes a little while.

I made a couple of videos of how to take the hub apart and put it back together again if anyone needs this:-

I know its been a minute, but have odyssey had any complaints yet?

JFax:
From what I understood from my local shop the Eclat one had a production error in a spring or something similar that Eclat sent out replacements for. I havent seen a new batch being made though with the fault corrected, so maybe their project failed.
