grinding out my dropouts?
Cellmember:
You'll also want to ensure that the dropout slot faces are parallel to each other so the axle isn't sitting on a sharp edge which will ruin the frame and axle.
Sasha:
The sides don't need to be totally even, no.

k thnx XD
Bunky:
I just grinded out some drops from 3/8ths to 14mm and deepened them while I was at it.
The best way to do it is with a Dremel tool with the small sander wheel. I'll try and remember to take a picture of mine when I get home from work. It's real easy if you keep it on a slowish setting so that you don't burn through the dropout fast.
couch:
You're going to be at it forever if you try and file out .1" from there. Mask or scribe it off and hit that with some rotary tools. Get close then file the rest to final size.
