You guys got any tips for freeing up sticky/partially seized road bike brakes (tiagra if that makes a difference)? My rear one doesn't return all the way when you pull it now which results in a flappy cable hitting the top tube and the pads rubbing which gets annoying. Take it all apart and soak it in wd40? Or should I just bin them and get something new?

Most road bike brakes pivot on flat bushings(?). In most cases, throwing a drop or two of triflow on all the pivots should get them working in no time. Keep an eye out on the spring as well. Those tend to crack after a while and lose their springyness. Feels just like a seized brake.

Take it to bits and clean it. Apply grease to places that move. Avoid WD40.
Narcoleptic Insomniac:
Hey road dudes. Shorts vs bibs: what's better and why? or does it even matter? I use shorts but might try some bibs. Seems like taking a quick roadside piss would be a big hassle with bibs.
Kinchy:
Bibs are way better, stay exactly where you want them all the time.
Going for a puss is usually fine depending on the short, sometimes I go out of the bottom of the leg if the shorts are stretchy enough
