removing marmoset collars

(1/2) > >>

dude...:
without mangling them or the hubshell, whats the best tactic? got a nice fresh one and i need to get the cone spacers/collars off to put some guards on but theyre on really tight

O.G. David:
Put one bolt half way in one side and take a decent hammer to it.

GUMP_:
Pretty sure that's what I did. Just used bulk grease when I put it all back together

sans.terre:

pegs:
lay the wheel on your lap, tyres on knees and knock the end of the axle with a hammer and 17mm or whatever flipped extension side down. dont trust the helicoil enough to to do the bolt method and trying to grab the collars and pull them off seems a pain in the arse.

i changed the bearings in mine for the first time in its life the other day, feels brand new for a fiver. why even ride any other hub unless you want 48
