You're trippin. Robbo's manuals looked great, especially at high speed.


I think a lot of the awkwardness comes from people riding mega tall bars. Their body position is so upright that if you look at their body only and imagine there's no bike it's like they're riding around on a segway. It looks even worse if the bars are also super wide. I'd bet there wouldn't be much of this if people rode bikes proportional to their size.

On the other hand, some tricks are just naturally awkward looking like nose manuals and tailwhips.
