I'd rather ride this than an over the cog guard for the drive-side. it just seems practical.

If I remember correctly that was fixed to the peg and aluminium and looks to be thicker than the dropout...

I agree with you, but why is an inside guard no subject to the same risk? Sure the external guard is a little further out there, but the risk is unavoidable if the guard is going to protect the chain yet let the chain pass? To minimise the risk of this, I made the leading edge of the Uniguard as curved as possible, both to make this rise up more smoothly if it comes close, and to strengthen the rest of the guard.

Test ride feedback has been very good and we have been working on this a long time.

9tooth only yes.

No solid date yet, but it should be this summer, probably late summer though so dont hold your breath..
