Pretty damn good idea but the convenience of a Quik Slic is just the tits for me. That hanger plus an SLS Linear cable might be braking heaven, though.

I have the version before that. Works well but the odyssey cable with the built in hanger works better and its less work to set up.
Edit: I missed the spring part.

Oh, apparently the spring hanger provides tension for the whole brake, no springs in the arms. Meh.

Jobsy:
Looking at this to answer my need for maximal tyre to brake clearance. Less gubbins in the arms = more space for tyre...
