Intead of all this fancy shit, why couldn't you just put a nut in the back of the crank and tighten the pedal into that?

I need to run a 135mm hub but the frame has 130mm spacing. Its an aluminium Specialized Tricross. Will I be ok if I stretch it that extra 5mm?

Im going to run it SS so there will be no shifting mech to fuck up if that helps

Aluminium frames are generally stiffer. I don't know if I would want to risk it because you will never stretch it equally each side so the wheel will always want to run slightly off. What wheel is it?
