I'm not looking to do a lot of jerry-rigging, I was just curious which brakes on the market are the lowest. Or are they all about the same at this point?

They're all pretty close at this point. What are you running right now? Might be able to use the springs and top caps off another style of brake to lower things down.

Definitely a long shot but does anyone know what spindle length I would need for a Campagnolo C-record double chainring crankset? Pretty sure its 111 or something close to it

its going to depend some what on your frame & what the bb width is, but you're probably right in thinking its 111, either that; 102 or 115.
theres shittons of info on the web about old road bikes, of you look up the og specs of the frame you're putting them on you can probably find what the oe spindle length is
