Quick Questions
Prodigal Son:
Thanks dude! The bearing seat and the outer race are pretty seem less you know... I was hoping there was a wee device I could put in the inner diameter of that race that would expand against the inner circumference then compress it outwards, using wedges?
Do you think I could achieve near the same at 100 c? I don't want to clean all the grease and grip tape off these to stick in my oven.
KillSeth:
Brakes with the lowest stack height? Go!
Bunky:
Probably Springfields. They have a thin washer and a button head bolt that are the only things that sit above the brake mount post. You could probably even get rid of the washer and then that would be pretty much as low as you can with a U type brake.
KillSeth:
They don't clear my wishbone.
Bunky:
Oh man, didn't think of that. How close is it?
You could always take another type of brake like Flys and modify the arms to take a Sprinfield type spring and then use just a button head bolt without the spring/cap to hold the arms on.
