How bad an idea is white bar tape on a road bike that gets used on sometimes muddy back roads every day in the uk which means rain most of the time?

Most white bar tape never stays white for long. However, I got some Fizik stuff that is white after a few rides.

Working in a bike shop for the past few months has made me hate white things even more than I already did. Bartape and seats are top of the worst bits to buy list. If you must have white then get a plasticy one rather than a cork one, wipes clean easier.

Black it is then. I may even be a tramp and try to re use my old bar tape as I'm only fitting a new lever, the tape doesn't seem too worn or anything.

It's pretty normal to do that haha. Unwrap it enough to fit the lever then redo it, saves you £15.
