Sure you can. You can either cut, drill and tap it out yourself, Have some one else do it for you, or buy one of the aftermarket axles from companies using KHE style internals.

Sorry, I had to. Locktite or plumbers tape often work as a band aid fix, but if it's actually worn splines causing the problem there isn't a whole lot you can do about it. Is it the drive or non drive side? Edit: nevermind, tibias are actually welded 2 piece aren't they?
