Good point. I greased my grips too cause they were tricky to get on. I'm gonna grease my brake pads next ;)

Seriously though, what brake pads are best to use with painted rims? I don't want to wear the paint off.

I've always used clear coat to put grips on. It dries so hard that your grip will need to be cut off when you do change them. Never heard of using grease for that. Are they slippery at all?

I was joking about that. Greasing your grips sounds like a recipe for disaster.
