Birdmane:
I ordered a streamlight pt2 led cr123

Sako has the smoothest bolt and trigger out of the box of anything in that category/price range.

I played with a Sako model 85 synthetic stainless in .308 for about 40 hours a week, and I still haven't bought it, but I will.

The only other company I would look into before Sako is Savage.  Remington really went down the drain/stayed put while others excelled in the past few years.

You can't beat a savage model 10.

Sounds good, looks like I'll skip on the Remington then.
I wish I could try some nicer guns, my local store is big5..

Sks are really that fun huh? Maybe I will grab one soon then.
Can't beat a $300 semi auto rifle I guess.

Hell yeah, just leave the gun stock too.  No Tapco shit, no detachable mags.  Get some stripper clips and once you learn how to use them they are decently quick to reload the rifle. Maybe do some trigger work to clean up the feel of the pull.

And if you order some 7.62x39 online and you can find it for under 20 cents/round.

I hate when sks are all done up, just doesnt look right.
Can you but "Matchgrade" trigger groups for an sks?
How accurate is it really, I want a pretty accurate gun.

Birdmane you will definitely be happy with it.

Birdmane:
SKS are awesome.  Try to get a Russian or Yugo (without grenade launcher gas system thing)

-strippper clips are fast
-it will be more accurate than you, unless you were secretly on top shot
-easy to clean/maintain.

I don't like shooting corrosive ammo on guns with gas tubes/pistons but corrosive and non corrosive can be found real cheap.
